  1. The Regular Meeting of the Saline Township Board was called to order by Supervisor Marion on December 10, 2007 at 7:30pm at the Saline Town Hall, 5731 Braun Road, Saline, MI 48176.

  2. Members present: Supervisor Marion, Clerk Baldus, Treasurer Gordon, Trustees Bohnett and R. Marion. Seven other citizens were present.

  3. Mr. Bohnett led the Pledge of Allegiance.

  4. Mrs. Gordon moved, supported by Mr. Bohnett, that the agenda be approved with the following change: 5d. Additional accounts payable of $390.00 for postage. Ayes: 5. Nays: 0. Motion carried.

  5. Mr. R. Marion moved, supported by Mrs. Gordon, that the consent agenda be approved as corrected.
    1. Approve minutes from November 12 regular meeting.
    2. Receive Clerk's budget, Financial Report.
    3. Approve Accounts Payable in the amount of $29,889.39.
    4. Approve 3rd quarter payroll of $16,820.32.
    5. Re-appoint Gary Luckhardt to the Planning Commission with a term expiring December 31, 2010.
    6. Re-appoint Charles Rankin to the Planning Commission with a term expiring December 31, 2010.
    7. Re-appoint Judy Gordon to the Zoning Board of Appeals with a term expiring December 31, 2010.
    8. Re-appoint Richard Zahn to the Zoning Board of Appeals with a term expiring December 31, 2010.

  6. Citizens were offered a chance to address the Board regarding items not already on the agenda. Rita Fetal approached the Board with a thank you note.

  7. Supervisor Marion commented on the following:
    1. Board of Review meeting will be help tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
    2. Planning Commission held a work session last week to finalize the Zoning Ordinances. Proposed Horse Ordinance is 10 horses per acre and 20 horses per acre for a riding stable. Wednesday December 12th final approval of the Zoning Ordinances should occur.
    3. Planning Commission also will be establishing a set of bylaws to help explain their duties and responsibilities. Currently there are two sets; one provided by Don Pennington and Attorney Lucas.
    4. Letter from Mr. Tom Green was received expressing interest in any opening on the Planning Commission.

  8. Michigan State Trooper Curtis briefly reported on the Townships quarterly report of incidents. 15 complaints/accidents; 1 assault/battery; no breaking and entering.

  9. Mr. R. Marion moved, supported by Mrs. Gordon, to accept the PA116 agreement of 254 acres from Mr. and Mrs. Richard Weisenreder. Ayes: 5. Nays: 0. Motion carried. Application and proper paper work will be forwarded onto Lansing.

  10. Trustees reported that two residents are still in violation of the car ordinance. Two Township officials will approach these individuals explaining to them what the next action will be if they do not follow the letter from the attorney.

  11. No Zoning/Building Administrator report.

  12. Fireboard reported that there was one meeting and there were 7 applicants interested in the at large position. Position will be filled at the next scheduled meeting. Two familiar names were Tom Solowczuk and Robert Prehn.

  13. Township Hall Manager reported that all damaged windows have been replaced. This sensory light is not properly functioning. Mr. Luckhardt may have to be contacted.

  14. Mary Gumtow reported that she is in contact with Ann Arbor recycle to assist in a possible recycle program with them. Township Engineer, Dan Cabage, reported that he will be reviewing the gravel inspection with the Planning Commission on Wednesday. Clerk commented that absentee ballot applications are available.
