- The Regular
Meeting of the Saline Township Board was called to order by Supervisor
Marion on May 11, 2009 at 7:30pm at the Saline Town Hall, 5731
Braun Road, Saline, MI 48176.
- Members
present: Supervisor Marion, Clerk Marion, Treasurer Gordon, Trustees
R. Prehn and R. Marion. Four other citizens were present.
- Mr. R. Prehn
led the Pledge of Allegiance.
- Mr. R. Marion
moved, supported by Mrs. J. Gordon, that the agenda be corrected
by increasing consent agenda item (5c) by $1,767.50 for Saline
River Ridge reimbursement to Washtenaw County and Postage for
tax bills; (15) Dennis Wojcik.
- Mr. R. Prehn
moved, supported by Mrs. J. Gordon, that the consent agenda be
approved as corrected.
- Approved
minutes from April 13 regular meeting.
- Receive
Clerk's budget, Financial Report.
- Approved
Accounts Payable in the amount of $40,035.19.
- Approved
PA116 Willow Road/Ahrens.
- Approved
Brine Contract with WCRC.
- Citizens
were offered a chance to address the Board regarding items not
already on the agenda. No comments.
- Supervisor
Marion commented on the following:
- Saline
Township to donate $100.00 to the Saline American Legion;
Flag. Mr. R Marion moved supported by Mrs. J. Gordon. Ayes
5 Nays 0.
- Charlie
Robison - The Board decided that the rocks/boulders that were
placed at the Oak Hill Cemetery will need to be removed they
are not in compliance with the current ordinance. A letter
will be mailed to notify Charlie Robison.
- Gary
Acree - Additional information to follow from Jessica Ping;
County Commissioner with regards to an Urban Credit.
- City of
Saline Resolution- Mr. R. Marion moved, supported by Mr. R. Prehn
that the resolution passes. Ayes 5 Nays 0.
- Voting Results
- results were read to the public.
- State Police
- were not able to attend.
- Trustees
report - A chairperson to be appointed to help the committee with
regards to the Road Millage Tax. Additional information to follow
at the June meeting.
- Zoning/Building
Administrator reported that the current homes that were damaged
by fire are in the process of being cleaned up. Dean Girbach may
approach the Planning Commission with regards to a Cement Crushing
Operation within the township.
- No Fireboard

Hall Manager report
- Dennis Wojcik
Chief Deputy Drain Commissioner attended the meeting to give a
general over view on the drains located in Saline Township and
the process of drains. Answered questions that the public had.
- The meeting
adjourned at 8:30 pm.
