Saline Township Planning Commission
Regular Meeting, June 13, 2007

Members Present:
Richard Zahn, Neil Bohnett, Trudy Feldkamp, Laurie Leinbach, Robert Prehn, Chuck Rankin

Members Absent:
None.

Others Present:
Approximately 5 citizens

Meeting was called to order at 7:35 pm.

Roll was taken; quorum established.

Pledge of Allegiance was led by Rankin.

Approval of Minutes, May 16, 2007: motion by Leinbach, supported by Bohnett; vote unanimous to approve.

Approval of Agenda, June 13, 2007: motion by Prehn, supported by Leinbach; vote unanimous to approve.

Announcements:
None.

Public Comments:
Neighbor to the Gentner Trucking property stated concerns. He is of the opinion that Mr. Gentner considers himself above the law. There is lots of noise. Stock pile will be below the berm. He is operating under a special use permit. This gentleman received notice two days prior to the hearing and was unable to attend the hearing for the special use permit application (May 16 meeting). Also, this is one special use permit with two parts. He also feels we need to follow up on the second motion approved at the May 16th meeting. There was no notice regarding this aspect. He also brought up a drainage issue.

The Planning Commission will refer to attorney Lucas for direction

New Business:

1. Items from the Board
   1. Gary Luckhardt has been appointed to the Planning Commission to complete the term of Denny Zink.
   2. Dumping ordinance was adopted.
   3. Biltmore update, most recent plan still has too many dwelling units. Special meeting with the Board and Mr. Lucas has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 20, 7:30 p.m. Public is invited to ask questions. Mr. Lucas will give information as to the status of the proceedings.
   4. The township will use matching funds for dust control.

Old Business:

1. Gentner permit, follow up with attorney Lucas regarding comments by the neighbor.
2. Development plan, nothing new to report.

Rankin moved to adjourn the meeting; Prehn support. Meeting adjourned, 8:30 p.m. Next regular meeting is scheduled for July 11, 2007, 7:30 p.m.
